Eviscerate's "Nerf" is overrated... Vs. Dismember, Eviscerate is still the king of the sudden spikes...
yeesh... 9 hp, whooopty do!
Here's my classic build designed for PvP W/N Cursed Decapitator...
16 Axe/13 strength/3 Curses
Disrupting Chop
Eviscerate {E}
Executioner's Strike / Furious Chop
Wild Blow
Frenzy
Sprint
Plague Touch
Gaze of Contempt / Rend Enchantments
Done properly, nobody will be able to defend against your onslaught save that mesmer/necro who hexes you... Lack of Res Sig isn't an issue if your team carries 3 already, if not, replace the necro skills accordingly.
PvE Cursed Executioner
16 axe / 9 tactics or strength / 8 curses / 8 other (tactics / strength) - depends on shield req. usually
Triple Chop {E}
Dismember
Executioner's Strike
Healing Signet
Watch Yourself
Bonetti's Defense
Shadow of Fear / Enfeebling Blood
Plague Touch / Res Sig
Great for challenging the toughest of mobs. Don't let the counter intuitiveness of Bonetti's + Shadow of Fear fool you. You only have between 20-30 hp and if 4 foes are swinging at you under Bonetti's, you'd overcharge your e. bar anyway...

PvE:
Axe Mastery 16
Strenght 11
Tactics 9
Frenzy
Whirling Axe
Dismember
Executioner's
Watch Yourself
Healing Signet
Plague Touch
Rush
For PVP take the same but switch Whirling with Eviscerate, Dismember with Shock and Watch Yourself with Res Signet.

Yes I'm a huge fan of diseasing your team for an extra 4 degen on a guy. I better never be monking in your group.
Um if you are doing pve.... just run TF, 6 adrenal attacks, rez sig... seriously you don't need defensive skills... they make such a tiny difference in the scheme of things. I'm kinda a fan of auspicious parry if you must have a defensive skill.... with nightfall every group will have a paragon and if your paragon doesn't have watch yourself he sucks so I wouldn't bother carrying that.
For pvp.... look up pvp builds.... your build is gonna be dependant on your team, you can't just run one build exclusively and be like axe war lfg roar.

Axe: 16 (12+3+1)
Tactics:10 (9+1)
Strenght:10 (9+1)
1) Dismember
2) Axe Rake
3) Whirling Axe [E]
4) Healing Signet
5) Frenzy
6) Sprint
7) Purge Conditions
8) Rez Sign/Rebirth (depends if PvE or PvP)
Then I'm only waiting for Lions Might (Nightfall)
Lions Might (5 ADRENALIN, CASTING TIME 1 SEC)
You are healed for 30...70 Health, and you gain 5 health for each rank in tactics.

Defensive skills make a huge difference, not really sure where you came up with your statement.

For PvE? .. Not really. Watch Yourself is ok, and if you keep track of how often you use Healing Signet, you'll find it's over rated at best.
If you must have something defensive, take Shadow of Fear or Enfeebling Blood or something. I run 3+1 knock downs (Shock), FGJ, Crushing Blow, Fierce Blow, and Rez Sig on my hammer warrior - in pve - and usually die last anyways.

This is a genuine fail farm build, half of those enchantments will get shattered and you will end up dead.

W/R build
Axe 9 + 2 +1
Str 10 + 1
Wilderness survival 10
Beast mastery 7
Various swapable axes, Shocking axe for vs warriors, Zelous for everyone else. 1 shield that compliments the build, -dmg stance and +hp hexed.
Troll Unguent
Penetrating blow
Dismember
Executioner stike
Tigers Fury
Protectors strike
Power attack
Melandru's Resilience [E]
Hella fun to play in a good group, get yourself a zelous weapon and you're laughing, the regen on your energy is great with Mels resilly to back it up.
Keep up the troll to help the monks out, i use this set-up in all my rp sessions, its very useful to me.
For FoW sessions, Ditch Beast Mastery, and beef up str and wilderness.
Tigers swaped out for Dolyak sig, and one of the enrgy attacks swaped out for apply poison. Again, very useful in majority of situations.
*as a side not, remember that (while you can do some good damage,) the build is really a PVE set-up, and aimed at being a true balance of enduring dmg and degen and causing SOME nice dmg. Its not a strict tanking, build, or a strict dmg dealing build. Try it out sometime, you may like it.

Juk3n.. you have 12 axe and 11 strength. 2 points: You would be better off subtituting power attack for an axe attack, simply because you have higher weapon stat than strength. Second point: I believe with only 12 in your weapon, you could probably do more damage with a sword, as axe gets the juice from crits that come with higher levels of weapon mastery.
Also, I don't see Cyclone Axe or Dismember on there, so why even bother with an axe?
::Edit:: lol there's Dismember.. I'm sorry I'm really going through a lot right now. Still might want to consider using a sword though.

Dismember
Axe Rake
Executioner's Strike (or the 5 adrenaline skill instead)
Triple Chop
To The Limit
Tiger Stance
Healing sig
Rez
Basic, not exactly subtle, blood-thirsty warrior build for PvE (either with henchies or with a MM). Race in, shout To The Limit just before you get to your target, hit the stance, Triple Chop, then on to the Dismember/AR combo, finish off with the other adrenal skill and there's your first corpse. Shout again and away you go.
Like I said, not subtle but good enough to take on most everything with henchies in PvE.
Cheers.
